Also spiritual men are flesh and blood. Spiritual men also need oxygen.
The reality of the Pandemic has severely affected Peru with the highest percentage of excess deaths per million worldwide, with more than 1000 daily cases according to the Financial Times of London. John Hopkins reports that Peru has the highest number of deaths per 1,000,000 inhabitants in all of America. This reality is not alien to the thousands of Pastors who, faithfully exercising their call to accompany the most vulnerable and living in extreme conditions, have become infected and many of them have died from the Pandemic. In Peru it is estimated that between 400 and 1000 shepherds have already lost their lives due to not having access to medical services or oxygen.
The “Respira Pastor” project seeks to generate a fund of US $ 20,000 to assist Pastors, their wives and children in the face of medical emergencies caused directly by the COVID 19 infection.
All duly accredited Pastors will contact the Lima Initiative and a person will be assigned to assess their most urgent needs and will be assisted with evacuation expenses, medicines and / or oxygen.
